The Indiana Forum Will Never Be The Same.
Our most prolific poster has been banned.

I'm not supposed to mention her name, I've already had a post deleted for that, but she started about 90% of the threads in this forum.

I may not have always agreed with her but I will always have respect for her opinions.

If anyone knows how to contact her outside of DU, please send me a message.

We should try to schedule a meet-up where we can openly discuss this heavy handed action of the moderators.

1. Sad to hear
I didn't know her outside of this forum. I'm new to Indy and was hoping to meet Dems in the area by now. How can I help? Being unemployed, I have plenty of time on my hands.

2. Hi LittleGirl!
We have a number of DUers in the Indianapolis area but we aren't all that active in the Indiana forum. We've had meet-ups in the past but it was usually just me, my wife, IndianaGreen and maybe a few others.

There are many opportunities to get personally involved, if you are interested. There are clubs in each township and a couple of county and state-wide groups. We live on the west side and belong to the Wayne Township Democratic Club. You can find out more if you click on the link below and select the Upcoming Events tab.

http://www.marioncountydemocrats.org/

We also have many highly-qualified candidates on the ballot who are always looking for volunteers:

Terry Curry for Prosecutor
http://www.terrycurry.com/

Brett Voorhies for State Rep.
http://brettvoorhies.com/bv/

Just to name a couple.

If you need more info, feel free to reply to this post or send me a private message.

Cheers!

3. I can receive but not post a message
I think because I haven't donated. I don't have a 'compose' message in my inbox area. I live on the northeast side and would like to donate some time. I don't have spare change (being unemployed) but I have lots of time during the day while my hubby works.

Would enjoy a meet up.

4. Words fail me.
I hadn't seen her around lately, and wondered why, but NEVER would I have thought she had been TS'd.

I knew that I could come here and catch up at a glance on what is going on in the state, thanks to her.

And I think it is pure cowardice on the part of the moderators that they won't even allow a mention of her name -- why not? They own the board, so what do they have to fear from us peons?

IndianaGreen, you'll be missed. Here's to you. Thanks for everything. :toast:

5. Wow
I just don't get it. What's sad to me is that while I get having and sticking to rules, when you check the profile you see the same tombstone that marks the justly unlamented DU graves of true "disruptors" (vs. people we know are "with" us who just went to far in some respect).

6. Let's each do more here
I've posted very little, but maybe this is a wake-up call. We could each do more to keep Indiana updates flowing. I read several Indiana blogs and there's a ton going on in Indianapolis, most of it not good.

Let's dedicate a revived Indiana forum to Indiana Green.
