Does this woman look DANGEROUS to you?
Local professor called 1 of nation's 101 most dangerous academics
By Bill Engle
Staff writer

Caroline Higgins drinks ginger herbal tea while listening to classical music in her softly lit office at Earlham College.

She loves playing classical piano, preferably Chopin, Haydn and Bach.

The 66-year-old grandmother with light, reddish hair and a soft voice has been married to the same man for 40 years.

She has lived in Richmond since 1974, has taught peace studies at Earlham since 1987 and has directed the school's peace studies program since 2002.

But Higgins is one of the 101 most dangerous academics in the U.S., according to conservative author and commentator David Horowitz.

Horowitz listed Higgins in his new book "The Professors: The 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America," along with Ball State University peace studies professor George Wolfe...

1. Horowitz is a bufoon.
His suggestion that a college with a Quaker affiliation - a denomination that has pacifisism as part of its doctrine - should offer a "military studies" course is more than absurd. Of course I don't think Horowitz really thinks he is going to accomplish much - except make a lot of money from big money, angry conservative funders.

3. It's too bad what Horowitz has turned into
Back before he was a crazy right-winger, he wrote a series of excellent books with Peter Collier on the Kennedys, Rockefellers, Fords, and Roosevelts. All of them were great at examining how each family came to power, the relationships between family members, and how accurate the public perception of each family is.

an early grave.;) This makes about as much sense as the Anti-Peace protestors that show up to Peace protests. "Hey hey ho ho, social order has got to go. Hey Hey ho ho murder and death are where its at. Yeaaah! Two four six eight dropping bombs is really great! 1 3 5 9 blowing up buildings for human-kind!"

Horowitz is pissed there are no military studies classes and that's hilarious. You know "equal time" for death and humanity = objectivity. I wonder if I proposed a class on the church of Satan and Jerry Falwell U. if that would fly. :sarcasm:
