Indystar poll not favorable for Mitch
The Indianapolis Star has 2 poll stories on the front page. One for Mitch and one for Bush. Neither is faring well.

"After pushing to change everything from Hoosiers' clocks to who runs their Toll Road, Gov. Mitch Daniels has seen his popularity plummet during his first year in office."

They have Mitch's approval rating at 37% with 60% opposing his stupid foreign lease of the northern toll road.

Meanwhile, in a related story, they have Bush at 37% approval as well...in INDIANA! Which leads me to believe that he's actually in the 20s or lower nationwide.

Here's the link for his story, which I'm going to cross post in Latest Breaking News--

Enjoy! It's always good to read about Repukes failing in red states.

3. I agree -- his real figures are probably in the mid-20s.
Not that 37% doesn't put a smile on my face. :)

5. Yeah, I'll take 37
Hell, here in Indiana, I'll take anything below 50!

8. When was the last time you saw anything, anywhere with the phrase
"My Man Mitch"? Bumper stickers, signs, nada.

Just wait til Daylight Savings kicks in... we'll watch those numbers sink even further. There was a reason the issue never got resolved before - there has been, and still is not, agreement on which time zone we should be in - but at least we knew where we lived (time zone) and what time it was in the town down the road....

11. Ugh, I still see them here and there ...
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 02:43 PM by hippiechick
... when I find one in the parking lot at work, it will invariably be coupled with a 'Bush/Cheney' type sticker or some other fundie insanity (the "Marriage = stick figure man + stick figure woman" is big up here in Carmel-ish) ... I park next to it, facing my car in the opposite direction so they have to see my "DEANIAC: NOT DONE YET", "WTF?" and "W(ar Criminal) 04" stickers as they approach their car.

:hi: Salin!!

12. So at least ole Mitch has a few fans...
in Carmel... for the rest of the area...

The other day on the near north side, big shiny black SUV with a proud W ... ugh, I thought; til I pulled up at a stop light to turn right and saw the SUV/light truck in front that the black one had to trail for a few miles... with a W with a red circle and line through it and a still proud Kerry Edwards sticker on it. Finally - parity/balance in bumpersticker signage :D

Glad you give that gal a big dose of balance - each day at work...

:hi:
