THIS is disturbing … and I couldn't help but chuckle at the ridiculousness of any State agency being intelligent enough to find any kind of intelligence in this state ... so as an afterthought, it's probably going to be harmless ... :freak:

INDIANAPOLIS -- A Senate bill would create a state center to collect and analyze intelligence on Indiana residents suspected of having knowledge of terrorist or criminal activities. Senate Bill 247, sponsored by Sen. Thomas Wyss, R-Fort Wayne, would create an "intelligence fusion center" as part of homeland security efforts.
The center, which would be in the state government complex, would be an information-sharing hub staffed with law enforcement officers from across Indiana. It would work under the direction of the governor.
State Homeland Security Director J. Eric Dietz said the center would be funded through federal grants.
Fran Quigley, executive director of the ACLU of Indiana, said his group is fine with the concept if intelligence gathering is done lawfully. .
