Emmis Stations are a right-wing whorefest. I thought Smulyan was a Dem
Local Indpls Emmis stations are a full-on right wing whorefest for Bu$h and the neo-Nazis. Evidence WIBC and this Radio Now 93.1 shit.

I always thought Jeff Smulyan the owner of Emmis was a Democrat. Is he still the owner? Is he still a Democrat? I am not sure his stations should be left-wing, I think objective views are what real Hoosiers appreciate, but WIBC and 93.1 are nothing but shills, spewing gop talking points all day long even in their entertainment slots.

Evidence: that Willson crew in the evening drive time on WIBC, these punks on crack, Billy and Marko in the morning drive on 93.1.

Add to that wingers like Rush and Greg Garrison on WIBC and Emmis-Indianapolis is nothing but right wing propaganda. If Smulyan is a Democrat you would think he could at least balance the stations with a little action from Air America or Pacifica. Hell and hour a day after each Rush, Garrison, Willson episode would be all that was needed.

Smulyan must be deep in some right-wing pocket is all I can figure.

1. all good questions...
i'm sure jeff smulyan is a businessman first and a democrat second.

that said, it must give him heartache at night to think that he is perpetuating our red-state mentality.

what would you think of an email campaign to push wibc to pick up some air america shows?

5. "Give him HEARTACHE"?
Oh, you might be right, but I bet a few minutes spent checking his bank balances make it all go away....

Radio in Indianapolis is shit. I hated it when I lived there and I don't even TRY to get now that I live up north. I listen to WBBM and other Chicago stations and Shortwave.

I have a friend/mentor who works for Emmis. Dan-O Quayle is his personal hero. He's a likable guy otherwise, just politcally deluded because his ship came in....

No details yet, just heard from him yesterday.

Maybe Emmis really is Liberal in the boardroom?
