I believe that it is being reported by his father that Evan will be running. Or something to that effect.

Also on WISH-TV website

and WTHR-TV website

8. Very Good
Indiana might be blue for the first time in 44 years. If Indiana is blue, then Bayh may win Ohio, Missouri, and Virgina by large margins. The only state he has no chance of winning is Texas, and maybe Utah.

(Bloomington)  --   Evan Bayh's father says the Indiana Democrat is giving  "serious consideration" to running for president."

-------------

I don't think a progressive could support him.

5. Well if nothing else ...
at least maybe now some Hoosiers will actually pay attention to the Dem platform for a minute or two ...

OTOH, Evan doesn't stand - or deserve - a rat's chance in hell of getting the nomination. He's as much a Democrat as Bush is.

6. Excuse me, but didn't he recently do something
about the flood of imports from companies subsidized by their governments?

7. I lke Bayh, but...
He's pretty good as a senator (although I'm still disappointed in him for his aye votes on the bankruptcy bill and Negroponte); however, I would prefer he stay out of the presidential race. I'm still holding out for Barbara Boxer. She's my hero! B-)

9. Not for President, But Maybe Vice-President
Bayh should align himself with a stronger candidate (*cough Hillary) as a Vice-Presidential running mate.

This would do two things:

1) It would help the stronger Presidential candidate swing more of the Midwest and,

2) SERIOUSLY make up for Dan "Potatoe" Quayle.

10. It would be the only way he could become Prez
He would never make it directly from the Senate
