Pantagraph: 62 families losing housing subsidies
http://www.pantagraph.com/stories/030805/new_20050308034.shtml

"BLOOMINGTON -- Roselyn Conely and her four children are among more than 60 Bloomington families who were notified over the weekend that their housing subsidies will end in 60 days.

"This is telling me I have to relocate or stay here and do it on my own," Conely said of the letter from housing officials.

The Bloomington Housing Authority sent letters late last week to 62 families to explain federal budget cuts for the Department of Housing and Urban Development mean their vouchers will cease April 30.

The rent for Conely's three-bedroom home on the south side of Bloomington is about $400 per month. Without the federally funded voucher, the rent would be $850 per month."
