1. abortion, plus he's a shit.
He is a self-righteous, smug, spoiled daddy's boy who inherited his office. He has little political talent, and survives only on his last name. We need to primary this sucker, because his district is actually quite liberal. He's like a sore thumb there.

4. First, support the Green running against him. Second, redistrict his ass out.
He's sitting on a Congressional seat that could be held by a real champion of the people.

he had a primary last cycle and dfa tried hard to knock him out. but a lot of them went home and puked after talking to some of those knuckle draggers.

my apologies to anyone from that district that is not a bigoted asshole.

6. He's The Pope's Congressman...
I once had a politico explain that the Chicago congressional delegation is divided among ethnic groups...for years Sid Yates would boast he was the "Jewish Congressman" and Luis Guittierez is surely the "Hispanic Congressman". Lipinski...Junior and Senior...represented the Polish community of the Southwest side. And with the loss of Rosty on the North, this seat now represents the entire city Polish population...very Catholic and very anti-choice. Conservative, blue collar, but still voting Democratic for the most part.

8. Kharma Train, for the most part you're dead on describing
the 3rd Congressional District but I have to disagree with you about it being mostly Polish. It also encompasses Oak Lawn, Burbank, Chicago Ridge, Palos Heights, Palos Hills and parts of Orland as well as part of Mt. Greenwood and part of the 11th Ward. The Polish contingent is mostly in the area of Clearing/Garfield Ridge, I don't know exactly what the ethnic makeup of the district is, but they're still plenty of other ethinc groups, in Dan the DINO district.

The real reason why we, in the 3rd, can't get this *rsehole out of our hair, is because in 2006 and 2008 he, or his father, got sham candidates to split the votes in the district. The first one was John Kelly and the second guy in 2008 was the Mayor of either Palos Heights or Palos Hills. I can't remember which town he was mayor of, but I think his name is Bennett.

Besides, he's got all the City and County workers from the 23rd Ward every election day, doing his dirty work. It's disgusting, I mean I'm an election judge and in the primary 2008 we had 3 of the 5 judges in my precinct from the 23rd Ward. I guess there's not enough judges in Oak Lawn to please him.

Also did you see Lynn Sweet's column on Wednesday or Thursday of last week? She said that the reason Danny Boy got the seat when he did was because he was on a leave of absence from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and because he's a diabetic he needed health coverage. So Daddy decided to retire (after the primary) and Danny Boy got the nod from the powers that be.

I have never voted for Danny Boy. I just skip voting for a Representative, and it's getting old not having someone in the 3rd District I can honestly vote for. We have to get him out in 2012, but it's going to take a lot of money and outside help from people to get this cretin out of office.
