How about another meet-up for even more incredible beer!
This one is an event at Brixie's in Brookfield. They have an incredible group of microbreweries showcasing their beers on Saturday between 4PM and 7PM.

Over 50 craft and imported beers will be sampled. Representatives include Dogfish Head, Lagunitas, Southern Tier, Unibroue, 2 Brothers, Sierra Nevada, Bells, Goose Island, New Belgium and more.

Right now they are serving Surly Darkness, which was an extremely limited 30 barrel production on tap. If you like very dark sweet stouts this is one of the very best.

Oh, and did I mention Obamagang? That is an informal name for brewery Ommegang's Inauguration Ale 2009 and I personally vouch for it! Obamagang got my vote!!!

It costs $10 at the door but it will be worth it. Brixie's has 29 micro-brews on tap, one of Chicago's largest on tap selections.

Hope to see you there.

1. NO offense intended but are you selling micro brew beer or what?
Your posts just don't seem very relevant to me to Democratic politics in Illinois.

2. I believe it is relevant to bring Dems together,
especially in an environment of extreme enjoyment.

Perhaps you have never been to a DU event like this, I have been to
several. We all get together, drink beers, and talk whatever is on our minds, and considering the invite is from a DU'er, that usually includes politics.

Perhaps you'll meet me and my wife, who both live in Illinois, and represent one of the first cross country DU inspired marriages. What could be more relevant than that?

Now this isn't relevant to Democratic politics, but I have read LOTR 11 times, the first time when I was 9... Maybe we can talk about that. I sure would like to meet more DU folks, and would be pleased to meet you.

Best,
Scuba
