John Edwards' Campaign Is Suspended -- BUT Not Ended... Read Below
This letter appeared on the front page of the John Edwards' blog page on Jan 31 and Feb 01.

I'm still voting for John Edwards on Feb 5. John has framed the issues all along - Single Payer health care, not Universal, lobbyists out of the elections, America taking care of our Vets, and giving a chance for affordable college, bringing home our people from Iraq within a year without permanent bases in Iraq, restoring America and every issue until Obama and Clinton "borrowed" his populist stance.

But "borrowing" words is not a commitment to carry them out whichever one gets the nomination for the general election.

That is why we must must must continue to vote for John Edwards on Feb 5 in all primaries.

The more delegates he collects even though he has "suspended" his campaign (I suspect because of the MSM essentially boycotting coverage of him and the failure of the feds to match funds until March) the more power John will have to extract a written commitment from either or both candidates to adhere to John's and our populist issues!

John is on your Feb. 5 ballots. Please vote for John Edwards. Give him the votes and delegates he needs to make a change in this Government.
Thanks

2. Sorry You Feel Like You Do... Also, Why Do You Have To Be So
nasty. Not only have we been commenting about this "suspension" we are working on a plan to get delegates for him. The plan is still in process.

But thanks for even replying.

3. sorry if i was nasty.
things have been so nasty around here, it is starting to rub off. but i just feel like edwards has now become the ralph nadar of the party. and i am a little offended that anyone thinks that he is entitled to influence the platforms of the winning candidate. we have elections. someone wins, someone loses. the people who voted for the winner voted for the platform. their platform. edwards lost. his platform lost. i'm sure the other candidates have taken note of who supported him and how. but winners win and losers lose, and that is how it works.
JE and his followers sounds like a sore loser. i think that is a very bad thing in a democracy.
don't take it personally.

4. Everyone Should Be Entitled To Their Opinion... I Have Been Privy
to some "insider" information, but won't go into to all of it now. But the Nader comparison is WAAAAY of IMHO!

I'm one of those who don't really like ANY of the nastiness. I may have been guilty a couple of times, but it's been rare. I don't see any reason to keep the long knives out.

Time will tell, and much of it may not be what some want to hear. Again, my opinion.

5. Thom Hartmann just said if Edwards does not get 15%
All his votes go to whoever was leading.

So your vote could wind up being an Clinton or Obama vote.

You are better off choosing from people who are still in the race.
