CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!!!
According to the National Cherry Blossom Festival's bloom watch, the average peak bloom dates are April 1 and 2, with the blooming period from March 27 through April 8.

1. are finished for this year.
Was at the Mall yesterday. Lots of people, very warm, and blooms turning to leaves. Soninlaw promises we'll actually SEE the BLOSSOMS next year.

Thanked guards (metro etc) for doing such a good job, including during Nats/Phillies game.

2. We went down on Saturday, April 3. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
Also, perfect weather, mid to upper 70's. Of course everyone else thought it was a perfect day also. Took the metro in, so that we did not have to worry about parking.
