Does anyone here listen to Washington Post Radio (AM 1500)?
If so, I'm just curious as to what you think of the hosts. I used to listen in the morning to Mike Moss (who is now back on WTOP) - but ever since they moved David Burd to the morning, I've gone back to WTOP. I hate to say anything bad about someone, but I just can't stand listening to him.

He seems to think that everything out of his mouth is either clever or funny, and that he has what my friends and I call a "hipper than thou" attitude.

The afternoon/evening hosts aren't quite as annoying (to me anyway), but I always get the feeling that they have a bit of a conservative bias, so I usually just tune in to see who they might be interviewing, then I switch back to WTOP or NPR...I think its Sam Litzinger in the afternoon, and Bob Kur in the evening. Then at night its Jim Bohannon (who I really don't like).

As I understand it, they are going to bring in Tony Kornheiser to cover the morning show - I don't know that much about him...if he any good?

Thanks -

Tim

1. I don't listen to either of those any more.
If you live in DC, listen to WWRC 1260-AM, Progressive Talk Radio. They also have CNN news on the half hours and traffic reports four times an hour!

:hi:

2. Thanks for your reply....actually, I live in Severn, and work in Catonsville (so I have a
hard time getting a clear signal for 1260 (although I try!).

As I'm sure you know, talk radio in MD is pretty one-sided (WBAL and WCBM)...I do try and listen to the Marc Steiner show on WYPR (88.1 FM) - but he's the only local host that I care for (especially since Alan Prell left WBAL).

3. I know what you mean.
I can't get 1260, much north of Columbia. The only talk radio in MD that I listen to is AM-1300 ESPN radio. I will not listen to any of the other crap that passes for talk radio!

5. I heard that...what's he like? I've heard the name before, but I'm unfamiliar with him.
Thanks!
