Majette Draws National Attention
Not the attention she might like, perhaps, but attention all the same.

The Washington Times (right-wing fundamentalist Moonie news) sputters in disbelief that the DSCC (Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee) contributed over $100,000.00 to Majette's campaign in the past week. This confirms what we in Georgia already knew, that Denise Majette is tough as nails, fights like a tiger, and has a real shot at pulling a major upset in this election.

Go Denise! :yourock:

1. So what's wrong with this kind of attention?
I intend to vote for Deniese. Isakson is an idiot, and I sure don't want to give any company to Chambliss!

And for what it worth, I live in North Georgia, in Pub town! There aren't very many of us dems around here, but we're fighters and trying like crazy to get all the dems to the polls! I know we probably have to depend mostly on Atlanta to get most of the votes for Deniese and Kerry, but we're sure going to try!

I still don't understand why this national attention is a problem.

2. Not a problem, really.
She got money, that's good. I was just sayin' that you know the right is worried when one of their propaganda outlets makes noise about a Democratic candidte getting money.

As if it weren't obvious, I'm voting for her too.

3. To put it another way ...
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 10:01 PM by Laelth
She'd rather get an endorsement, or a positively-spun editorial as opposed to what The Washington Times said which was, in effect:

"Oh, my God! What the heck is Corzine thinking? Majette doesn't have a chance! He should be forced to resign for giving her money!"

Not exactly a glowing recommendation ...

4. Debbie Stabenow and Mary Landrieu coming
Monday to help raise money for Denise! Doubtful they would come if we didn't have a chance at this thing.

5. I think the Libertarian candidate is siphoning votes
from Johnny I-suckson. This could be interesting; I suspect it'll be much closer than the Repubs ever expected.
