I work in Cumming, live in Dacula. Most stations along my commute were out of gas this morning. I'd love to hear of any exceptions and what you see for prices. Thanks.

1. At 11:00 a.m. this morning

I was able to get gas at the Shell station in front of the Toco Hill shopping center (my third try, though the first did have gas, just not regular--they only had premium).

Edited to say this would be unincorporated Decatur just north of Emory University, so not so helpful in terms of your neck of the woods. Sorry.

I paid $3.10 per gallon

This was not a panic thing, my tank was almost empty.

2. I'm not in panic mode either ...
I just have this thing about running out of gas - one of those unrational fears of mine about driving (or sitting behind the wheel of car that has no gas) on these insane Georgia highways.

3. I think the first panic is over with.
I was going to get gas yesterday on the way home from work. But after seeing all the lines, I decided I was not going to sit in line and idle and waste gas just to get gas. So I took my chances and waited until this morning. On the way to work up Canton Hwy. in Marietta, most of the stations were out of gas, But I got lucky and a Conaco was open with only 3 cars at the pumps. Had to pay $2.99 a gallon, but when I got to Cobb Parkway in Marietta, there was a QT open and the gas there was $3.69 a gallon.

At lunch today, on Cobb Parkway, most of the stations had gas with no lines at the pumps.
