Zell Miller as DNC chair? My LTTE
Here's Bill Shipp's nutty piece in support of putting Zell in charge of us Gawdless Demoncraps:

http://www.gwinnettdailyonline.com/GDP/archive/articleFC4279FC9CCA42EBB85B45AC2B517A27.asp

And here's what I wrote in reply:

Bill Shipp's editorial advocating Zell Miller as the new DNC head brought back memories of the Democratic Presidential primaries. Remember how Zell fought tooth and nail to support Joseph Lieberman, a Democrat who shared his sentiments about a pre-emptive strike against Iraq? Remember how Zell stayed by Joe's side even as his campaign's polling numbers dropped to the single digits? Remember how Zell was able to put aside religious and regional differences and worked hard to make sure the country knew that there were conservative Democrats worthy of our attention?

Neither do I. What I remember, as do the vast majority of the 57 million American citizens who stuck with our party's nominee and came within 50,000 votes of placing our man in the White House, is a disloyal, grandstanding buffoon.

Zell couldn't be trusted to get behind conservative Democrats as a Senator. DNC chair? Let him remain in his current role: Republican houseboy.

comments, anyone?

2. Zell Miller is a Democrat?
Yeah right.
And I'm a visually impaired Air Force Fighter Pilot!
Zell Miller should not be the DNC's anything. He should be without a party, without friends, and without a prayer of a political future among pro-democratic, pro-republican elements in this country.

7. Nice letter.
Not like anybody who's not a Republican would even entertain the idea of Hellfire Zell running the DNC, but I see why you might feel the need to rant against the buffoon making that argument.

And you ranted elegantly, I should add.

he should of waited until April. :hurts:

"Just think: As chairman, he would help mount a Democratic-sponsored initiative for a constitutional amendment requiring the teaching of creationism in all Georgia schools. Such a measure could do for Democrats what stopping gay nuptials have done for the GOP.
Besides, young people everywhere would love Miller. The creationists’ dramatic storyline on how we got here is much more gripping than the dull and arcane text of Charles Darwin, an elitist snob still revered by Harvard liberals."

Zell would help Georgia Democrats, as William Jennings Bryan helped by embracing the silver standard and prosecuting a science teacher just for doing his job. Even Senator-elect Isakson is an improvement over this rat! Mattingly won in 1980 because Democrats in Georgia refused to acknowledge that Herman Talmadge became nothing more than a political artifact, now Georgia Democrats worship another outdated windbag.
