U.S. Representatives Harold Ford, Jr. of Tennessee, Charles Rangel of New York and John Lewis of Georgia will be joining local Democratic candidates John Barrow and Becky Vaughn at the Thomas N. Lay Center at 297 Hoyt Street in Athens this Friday, October 29 5:30 - 7:30 pm for a Get Out the Vote rally with Lt. Gov. Mark Taylor and Secretary of State Cathy Cox. We will be celebrating the record turn-out of the Early Vote, join us to get fired up for our last weekend of work!

This is great for Becky and John. Unfortunately, I'm going to miss this event. I must go to a high school football game in Duluth. What makes it worse is that the team has a 100% losing record.
