Stolen Honor being shown in Covington on 10/28
So the Newton Co Democrats (yes, there are some of us outside the metro area) will be "showing our displeasure" outside this showing.
Hell....I may even crash the party

We will be meeting on the Covington Square at 6pm. If you are in this area, please come out and show your support for our protest.

PM me for more info. Thanks.
We can't let this go unanswered.

1. Do you have more information...
...about where, when, by whom? It was scheduled to be shown here in the Philly area and the theater owners backed down when they were threatened with this lawsuit: http://www.tortlaw.com/SiteData/docs/Campbell_v_Sherwood_pressrelease.pdf

The lawyers representing the plaintiff might like to know about this.

2. This is being hosted by the local Repub Party
but it is being shown in our county courthouse.

I don't know if they rent out the hall or what. I'll be finding out more info soon.

Thank you for the info.

I would LOVE to come out there and help. Probably unrealistic though. Post details/times when you get them and we'll see.

8. can you give me more info???
I know I am literally a day late, but I just now saw your message. I live in Covington, and pay too damn much in taxes. I would be greatly offended if my tax dollars are going to support a partisan event like this. Who is responsible for the showing??? Did someone rent out the court-house??? If they can show this, why haven't the Newton County Democrats rented out the courthouse for a showing of F 9/11 or Bush Family Fortunes or Bush's Brain??? Who should I contact to issue a complaint (Mayor, City Manager)??? By the way, how did the "showing our displeasure" go?? Were there many people there??? Also, I tried to early vote today. The line looked pretty long. It looked 3-4 people wide, and was probably over 100 feet long. I decided to wait until Tuesday. An interesting thing though, from what I could see from the line, there were a good number of young people, and a decent mix of minorities, hopefully that bodes well for the Dems...Kevin.

9. protest made the local paper.
http://www.covnews.com/gbase/Expedite/Content?oid=oid%3A4731

snip:

"We just greeted the Republicans as they arrived," said Charles Woods, former chair of the Democratic Committee. " everyone was very polite, no one scowled too much at us. There were a few gawkers -- they're not used to that sort of thing in Covington.

"We just wanted to keep everything organized, let everyone know that the Democratic Party is still alive"
