South Floridians: Do the Cubans still like Bush?
Give us your perspective. What do the Cubans now think of their president, who they did so much to put into office?

1. Cubans
The ones in Havanna surely don't like him.

2. FL Cubans are Americans after all
I don't see such a unified and provincial bloc anymore in Miami. Cubans and other Latino's have assimilated into the general population throughout the U.S.
Sure, there's Hialeah - still a predominately Cuban neighborhood - but there are so many Cubans and other Latin Americans all over not only Miami, but throughout the S.E. nowadays.
Most Latinos are very Catholic and they support a serial mass murderer and psychopathic liar because of a single issue, abortion. As crazy as that is, it remains the basis of support for this demographic.
Venezuelan's in the US are the money people down there - they hate Chavez and anything resembling socialism. Thus, they gravitate away from liberal issues.
I work with many different Latino's and constantly remind them of how bad and how evil the current administration is. That's all we can do.

3. I'm only friends with one Cuban
And she hates his guts. She wants be be able to visit her aunt again in Havana. Under Bush's new rules, she's never allowed to travel to Cuba again, because she doesn't have family there that are "close enough" for the Republicans to allow her to.

4. I've heard it both ways.
It seems that the older Cubans are more pro-bush, IMO.
