District 91 -Florida- Please vote for Christian Chiari!
My friend, Christian Chiari, is running for State House today.

If you're in District 91, please vote for him!

He's an excellent progressive candidate who will stand up for Floridians and against the Republican agenda.

Here's a link to his site: http://www.electchiari.com

Thanks in advance!

3. O Sweet Victory of Life! ... E. CLAY SHAW FINALLY GOT HIS BUTT KICKED OUT OF THE U.S. HOUSE OF REP!!
Sadly the governorship went to Crist and in Miami the three Miami gasbags got re-elected again.

Brenda Snipes was in no happy mood yesterday and in the 12 noon Channel 10 broadcast... ,

"Brenda Snipes looked haggard on the 12 o'clock news today. This always perfectly made-up woman, perfectly combed hair, perfect smile a-la-Laura Bush--just looked haggard and tired. She looked pale, her hair looked like a wind storm had gotten to it, she looked frizzled and angry. The two anchors had just reported that the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections reported, "No Problems". "Not so in Broward County", they added, "where Dr. Brenda Snipes is waiting in Plantation to talk to us."

Like always, Brenda Snipes tried to minimize voting problems in Broward County. Dogged problems that persist even after three elections with Snipes as Supervisor of Elections. Problems that persist with Snipes at the helm, after she was appointed by Jeb Bush after he kicked out the elected Supervisor of Elections Miriam Oliphant. Problems that Brenda Snipes always dismisses as "hiccups", "glitches", and "minor". Machines not working. Precincts not opening on time. Voters turned away because of disparity in precinct numbers between the voter's registration card and the Supervisor of Elections database.

Brenda Snipes looked pale, unfriendly, haggard, frizzled. She had few--hardly no words with which to explain today's glitches, hiccups, problems, disparities, etc.
Perhaps she is beginning to realize, that the people are beginning to realize that she works for Jeb Bush and for delivering the votes to him.
Perhaps she is beginning to realize that, after years of promising, "this will not happen again" despite the fact that it keeps happening, her name and her services are being used by the Bushes in the way that they want to use her and perhaps she is having a "moral pang"--maybe the birth of realization that there is much more value to honest voting and integral vote counting than there is to being a bush lackey.

later on in the day she had this to say to the sun-sentinel.
"the election had just a few minor problems."
(her usual minimizing ploy)... and she claimed that she has been, "getting feedback from voters -- e-mails and calls. They are pleased and so am I that things have gone so well," ...

ah! the power of narcissism!

anyhow ... hope all is well in the carolinas...

4. Not in the Carolinas, yet. Was working on the Ron Klein
campaign. Woo hoo! Sorry to see my friend didn't win his race, but he gave an incumbent in a heavily gerrymandered district a run for it!

Now I can concentrate on our move. Nice to hear from ya!
