Democrats Have Something to Say About Florida Governor: In an election for Governor of Florida today, 11/5/06, 48 hours till polls close, Democrat Jim Davis has caught Republican Charlie Crist, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WFLA-TV Tampa, WTLV-TV Jacksonville, and WKRG-TV Pensacola. In September, Crist led by 8. In October, Crist Led by 13. Today, at the wire, Crist leads by 2, 49% to 47%, sufficiently within the poll's 3.8 percent margin of sampling error that the contest should now be re-classified as a toss-up. Momentum is with the Democrat...Hold on to your hat. Among women, Crist had led by 9, now tied. Among men, Crist had led by 18, now leads by 4. Among older voters, Crist had led by 11, now tied. Among voters under age 50, tied. Among voters 50 to 64, tied. Crist leads among whites, and the Republican will need a lot of white votes to win. Davis leads among minorities. This final SurveyUSA poll assumes 82% of Florida likely voters are white. The more minorities who vote, the tougher it will be for Crist to take the Statehouse.

This will come down to the wire folks. No wonder they are reaching into their bag of dirty tricks.

SurveyUSA shows race for gov toss-up

A new poll conducted for television stations in Tampa, Jacksonville and Pensacola shows Charlie Crist up by two points, 49-47, with a 3.8 percent margin of error.

"Hold onto your hat," reads a news release distributed by the Jim Davis campaign. The poll was conducted by SurveyUSA, which relies on automated calls. Crist led by 13 percentage points in October.

3. Hello from Sarasota County
I've already cast my vote for Davis. I've got a bottle of champagne chilling if tomorrow evening finds us back in control of Florida and equally important, the House and Senate. I can't wait to see Cruella have to give her concession speech. I may tivo it so I can use it to cheer me up whenever I get depressed.I'm still concerned about republican fraud, or the turd blossom factor, as I like to call it. Good luck to all of our candidates.

5. Welcome to DU, JLaw82! Buckle yer seat belt, it's gonna be wild ride tomorrow.
I am hoping against hope that the voters of Florida will finally say NO to the GOP's money, propaganda and criminal negligence aimed against the people in this state.

6. Yeah, Welcome To DU... I Too Can't Wait To Be Rid Of Cruella!
But we STILL have Kathy Dent, the 2nd WITCH in this county!!! Heard her on local TV this AM talking down the SAFE people! We are the ones who have worked to get paper ballots for our county!

She said she's received some complaints about people not being able to actually get their vote to COUNT in the Jennings/Buchanan race. Then she said, it's probably just the SAFE people complaining and things are working just "fine!"

She is vehemently opposed to paper ballots here! I'd like to meet her on the corner of Main & Ringling myself!!!

I just hope they count my Absentee vote this time around!!!
