definitely. Its hard to use the lounge and such for gatherings. If we put them all here and get the word out for everyone to check the state boards, then I think we can definitely get some successful gatherings going on.

I apologize for taking so long to write. To be honest, the latest events in Iraq have left me a bit shell-shocked.

anyways, for the details. I think Orlando might be easier in general, because its just about the middle of the state. It's less than 2 hours from tampa, about 2 hours from where I am in Gainesville, and about 3 hours from South Florida (West Palm Beach), and about 2. from Jacksonville. The other option is West Palm Beach, and we could do a smaller meetup there for those of you down there. But, for fairness to those of us up north, Orlando would be easiest to get the most of us there, and they do have good hotels there.

I think that the schedule should be for summer. I know that prolesunited will be in Florida during the week of June 17-23...so, lets go for that week. Since most of us do work, I think that Saturday, June 19th or Sunday, June 20th would be a good day for it. Either of these it good for me...let me know what you think and we will go for the one that's most convenient for everybody.

I'm not from Orlando so I dont know a good spot to meet-up...but I'm sure there is someone here who does. I would recommend that we not go to the busy Disney area part, I've been there on Saturday nights before, and it is way too many people...

Anyways, I'm excited, DU is a community, and I'm excited to met many of the people that I've been talking to for so long:)

One thing I noticed here though... Florida is wide. A person like 7th Sepiroth living in Pensacola would have to travel all day just going one way to Miami, and even the distance from Miami to, say, Gainesville is too long unless we're really dedicated...

12. Actually, why not divide the state in half and have two?

Say Tallahassee for one and St. Pete or Tampa for the other, personally I like St. Pete, it was voted as one of the most livable cities in the U.S. I believe that would make drive times more realistic for all. Any thoughts on this?
