This is our Dean-inspired local candidate for congress, running against Adam Putnam in District 12. He came by and spent an evening with us, and I was so impressed. He is so intelligent and well-spoken.

1:30 p.m. • The Democratic Club of Greater Sun City Center • will hold their monthly meeting co-sponsored with the I-4 Corridor. After a brief business meeting a program entitled "Are we better off than we were four years ago?" will be presented. Featured speakers will be Mr. Jeff Siemer, candidate for the House of Representatives, Congressional District 12, which includes Sun City Center, will speak on the economics after four years of the Bush Administration and outline his economic platform. A former university administrator, for the past four years, Siemer has worked with a leading provider of collateral and risk management software in the financial industry. He was an election supervisor in Bosnia in the late 1990’s. Siemer graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Education and Social Policy. Dr. Bill Leonard (Professor Emeritus of Economics, USF) will be asking “Are We Better Off Today Than We Were Four Years Ago." Michael Derry, who represents the Kerry For President campaign on economic issues will give his views.

These speakers will be joined by Mr. Strati Aradas, Regional Volunteer Coordinator of America Coming Together (ACT) who will motivate foot soldiers to join ACT in their effort to organize millions of face-to-face, door-to-door, neighbor-to-neighbor contacts that it hopes will shape the future of American politics.

All members of the I-4 Corridor as well as Independents and Republicans are welcome. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.
