I called my congress critter today.
My representative (and I use that term very loosely cause he does not represent my views AT ALL.) is the guy who yesterday told a bunch of people at a town hall:

"And by the way, did I mention? They're shooting at us. If you think this job pays too much, with those kinds of risks and cutting me off from my family business, I'll just tell you: This job don't mean that much to me. I had a good life in Panama City."

Can you believe this guy? I called his Tallahassee office and told the lady on the phone that I was pretty upset that Congressman Southerland could say that his job didn't mean that much to him because it meant my life! He represents ME! She tried to tell me that it was taken out of context. I laughed and read her the entire quote. I asked, "Now, how is that taken out of context?" She didn't reply. I told her to tell the congressman if this job didn't' mean that much to him then he could just quit and that I could represent this area way better than he does! And hung up. Man I was pissed! I hope they get a lot of calls about this!

1. I'm so glad you called, LOL!
I called one day earlier in the month to ask if any town halls were scheduled. The Tallahassee office lady took so long looking for the calendar that I thought the call had been dropped!

So, I called the Panama City office and got some older sounding man. He went over the entire schedule and only ONE event was open to the public, and THAT (Mayo) on the opposite end of the district for me. Mostly they were Rotary Club luncheons and such. LOL! I must have kept him on the phone for 20 minutes! There were "fact-finding sessions" scheduled re: Medicare. I quizzed him on WHO would be invited to participate and what groups/entities would be represented. Before it was over, he was explaining to me why THE PRESS could not be allowed to attend these. ROFL!

Last night, I was so proud to see that our TEABAGGER had made the number 2 slot on KO's Worst Persons in the World!! I even woke up mr. tosh to share the news.

And, no...it isn't really funny at all. It is infuriating that this idiot doesn't sem to even want to HEAR his constituents.
