Jose Baez and Casey Anthony
Will Jose allow his little daughter to go to Disney, Sea World, the park, the beach alone with Casey Anthony. Seems he thinks she was a wonderful Mom. Would anyone sleep in the same house comfortably with Casey Anthony? Jose got her off but what if it happens again. Seems it is easier to kill after the first time. Time will tell. She has left a trail of misery behind her that no one close to her can forget. Casey now knows lies do pay off big.

1. You're actually wrong. People think that because an atty represents someone, they LIKE that someone

You're wrong. I work with attorneys. It's a JOB.

Clearly, one can't say, "You're an a**hole" to one's client. No one does that, and still remains in business.

Also, unless this Anthony person had oodles of money coming out the wazoo, I'll betcha this atty was assigned to Anthony by either the Public Defender, Legal Aid, or the judge himself, BECAUSE, there's NO WAY IN HELL a judge with a brain will try a person representing themselves without an attorney, when they are accused of MURDER. The judge would have to be demented, on drugs, or stupid.

I've worked with private attys that have been assigned to a pro bono case by a judge, and believe me, they haven't been happy about it. But if the court demands it, you do it.

And so, Anthony, and all others who are charged with felonies, MUST have an attorney come hell or high water.

That means that whether it's Mr. Baez, Bozo the Clown, Esquire, or any other attorney, an attorney would've occupied the place of representing Ms. Anthony.

If these attorneys who represent people charged with felonies are seen representing them to the media positively and innocently to the media, uh... what would you have them do instead? Would you have them represent them as innocent in court, then go before the cameras and say, "Oh crap, I can't believe I'm having to represent that a-hole of a client I have!" If any atty did that, he'd probably be dismissed by the judge or be judged in contempt of the court.

Or worse, would you have them represent their client as guilty? The Judge would sanction them somehow.

3. Sometimes people who seem guilty are innocent. Remember Chandra Levy and Gary Condit?
He had sex with her and was judged by the country for being guilty of her murder. Only after many months and long after the media and the country had jumped to an incorrect conclusion about Gary Condit, was the real murderer found, and it was NOT Gary Condit.

Mob decision is quite often wrong.

I do have the advantage of having been a juror in a murder case.

I realized what courts were about only after the judge explained the law to us (the jury) before we were allowed to go make our decision (and it took us 3 days). It has nothing to do with hunches, or with not liking the accused.

Prior to that experience, I thought a jury was a group of people who could decide the guilt or innocence of someone on any basis they darn well felt like. :)
