A Shakeup in the Florida Senate Race?
Story hit today that Repubilcans in Florida are concerned that there is a deal in the works for Kendrick Meek (D) to step aside and allow moderate and Democratic support to consolidate behind Charlie Crist (I).

It probably won't happen, but it serves to reinforce something I've been saying for months... Meek had no chance to win this race, and his continued presence only serves to increase the already probable likelihood of Marco Rubio (R) becoming the next Senator from Florida. The only way this doens't happen is for this deal to go down. Like I said, it probably won't, but the fact that the thought is out there gives me a little bit of a boost.

1. As A Floridian & One Who Has ALREADY Voted For Crist, Along With
many of my family members, I can only say that for Meek to stay in the race and actually let Rubio win makes my head spin!

IMO, there IS NO WAY that Meek doesn't know how many, many Democrats are voting for Crist. I even called them and TOLD them, but it wasn't a nice encounter.

I "personally" and I mean "personally" know of 16 people in my "little" world who have already voted for Crist. ALL OF THEM DEMOCRATS! I have NO REASON to lie, but for those of us who live in Florida this is just THAT IMPORTANT!

But, as it has been for quite some time, the DLC/BlueDogs simply don't get it. I am still registered as a Democrat but have lost so very much faith in a Party that I once loved. A Party that was inclusive and worked together for "we the people" but has now not only lurched to the right, actually calls some of it's members WHINERS and RETARDS!

Yep, how to win friends and influence people... NOT! I don't know if Crist will caucus with Dems, but from how he's governed, which is more moderate than I ever expected, he can't be worse than Meek!

But, barring some HUGE shake-up, I think we will be seeing Rubio in the Senate. I've tried to make others understand what is going on, but there are BIGGER POWERS at work, and given that fact, it only re-enforces my belief that my Party is leaving me!

It's really heartbreaking, but I have NO ANSWERS! So it seems they would rather go with RUBIO and I don't know how much longer I can support this type of situation. And this IS NOT something I take lightly at all!
