If THIS Is "Standing Up," I'd Hate to See What Working AGAINST US Looks Like!
Read this Kos article below... Then

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/8/10/764790/-Rep.-Kathy-Castor-Fl-11-Could-Be-A-Leader-On-Health-Reform-If

Here's Congresswoman Castor's pitch for Campaign Ca$h below! It's so Orwellian. :freak:

Support Castor for Congress!

Well known for "laying low" on Health Care Reform, when she sits comfortably in a gerrymandered Democratic district where she could STAND UP as a Hero for the common man... Congresswoman Castor instead cowers in the corner protecting her status quo "Corporatist" supporters, rather than stand up for a proper plan.

"Leading the charge on WHAT?" :wtf:?

Kathy, you're sound nearly as confused as Karen Thurman!

:think:NOW after "bailing" on Health care and telling people a well known and oft used conservative cliche', that they need to "Take personal responsibility and purchase Health Insurance," :banghead:(in a Tribune article not long ago...),

Kathy now has the unmitigated gall to come ask'n fer Campaign Ca$H! and Kathy calls herself a Democrat? again!

:think:Some Representatives are "paid" to speak out loudly, and some are "paid" to sit back and ... "be quiet..." Ever well behaved Kathy, not wanting to harm her future advancement opportunities, is most assuredly the later.

Just another Go along to Get Along! Do we need any more of these? :puke:

Dear Friend,

After a summer of heated debate in Congress and here at home we are gaining momentum on meaningful issues like education and health care. I am leading the charge on behalf of Florida students and families when it comes to college student financial aid. Next month promises to be the most pivotal in our fight for real change, and you can be assured that I will continue to stand up for our community.

We are less than 3 days away from the end of our September 30th fundraising deadline. Will you stand up with me and contribute $250, $100, or $50 today so I can continue to work for our community?
Education and health insurance reform are vital to Florida families and businesses. The status quo is not working for too many of our neighbors. On education, students needs all of the tools necesssary to suceed. On health, we need more competition to lower costs for hardworking families and we must change the focus from reacting to disease to prevention and wellness.

Take a look at the ABC news coverage of the college aid bill!

With two new candidates declaring their candidacy for District 11 it is vital that we show the strength of our campaign now. ANY OF 'EM DEMOCRATS? :nuke:This is an important time in our nation’s history. I need your help to make sure that I can be as productive as possible on behalf or the hardworking people of Florida. You've got to be kidding me "Congresswoman????"

We could elect an empty chair that would be just as effective! Who is going to Primary her?

Thank you,

Kathy Castor

U.S. Representative

Florida, District 11

P.S. I hope you can help with a $250, $100 or $50 contribution to help me continue to stand up for you!
