Anyone in Connecticut willing to help Blumnethal's demo opponent (Three days left to help)
I spoke with his campaign today and if anything can help it will require a really intense effort to get 15% of the dlegates to vote for a primary at this weekend's covention. I have some thoughts on strategy which I will share with the campaign tomorrow.

This is important to me and I could use help.

Especially those already in the dem party operation.

Blumenthal is a disaster on wheels and he will LOSE this election if nominated I fear.

So

any help

I reference this thread on my reasons for opposing Blumenthal NOW:

1. Who is the opponent?
I wasn't aware there was one.

2. Merrick Alpert.
Alpert declared his candidacy before Dodd even decided not to run.

3. So how can we help ?
I'm an alternate delegate to the CT State Convention. I think Alpert has a lot of appealing qualities to a broad spectrum of voters - former military, sucessful businessman, pro-peace, wife of Hispanic heritage. I would have supported him if Blumenthal had not run.

I think you are correct that Blumenthal is not electable now. McMahon, who ironically is not the squeaky clean person she portrays herself as, will not let this "misstatement" be forgotten.

4. It's a thought
but Alpert hasn't raised much money, so he'd be woefully underfunded against the Republican nominee.

5. If he gets the nomination
the money will come.
