His seat comes up in '10, right?

I'm assuming he was hoping the Big Mac would appoint him to something so he could ditch the Senate and turn his seat over to the
'pugs. Is that what you guys were figuring?

1. I think he probably thought there is no way
Obama could get elected and McCain is such a "maverick" and all, you know..

He decided to go with the "winner" in the hopes of getting a Cabinet position.

Now, I think he will probably suck up big time to the Democrats.

I could be wrong but if he decided to go Republican officially then it puts him in the minority. And since Joe thinks of Joe over anything else, I would be surprised if he did that.

Oh, and we have to wait until 2012 to unseat him. Can't come soon enough.

2. But if he goes R, he will be nominated in 2012 to run again
We CT Dems sure won't nominate him again.

As you said, its all about Joe

But he's obviously in Cheney's undisclosed location. Now that he's lost his power, he's awol

6. His poll numbers have been consistently horrible ever since shortly after 2006.
I think a lot of people who voted for him had a major case of buyer's remorse once they realized he was voting with the Republicans a lot more frequently than he used to.

I think his poll numbers have been worse than Dodd's, and Dodd knew to call it quits before he lost an election.

When 2012 rolls around, I think Lieberman will either retire or lose horribly. Either one would be fine with me.
