Amann Gets Gubernatorial Endorsement
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Connecticut's Democrats, who haven't won a governor's race in 22 years, are already looking ahead to 2010.

Although it is not yet official, Democratic House Speaker James Amann said he is getting closer to making a decision on whether to run for governor.

Amann said that if he continues to get support like what he received on Tuesday, he may very well run.

The state's iron workers threw their support behind Amann, an 18-year veteran of the state legislature.

I hope it's someone else besides Amann. I didn't vote for him in the primary, but I would like to see Malloy get a chance.

1. I hope its someone else, too
Ever since he supported LIEberman after Lamont won the primary, I have not liked him and have noticed an attitude that I don't like in a public servant

3. I won't support Amman period
Since he feels that it's OK for Dems to not support the Dem nominee, I'll return the favor and not support him if he becomes the Dem nominee in 2010.

4. I'm with you, Larkspur
What's the sense of having a primary if the party leaders won't abide by our decision ???
