Connecticut Filmmaker and Brookfield Resident:
Friday, Nov 30 at 7:00pm
“Honk For Peace” – Directed by Connecticut Filmmaker, Corey Boutilier
'Honk For Peace' follows the 2003 anti-war movement starting in New York City, and culminates with the historic 2006 Senate race between Joe Lieberman and Ned Lamont in Connecticut. In the Democratic primary, Ned Lamont, a political newcomer, ran an anti-war campaign beating Joe Lieberman, the 18-year incumbent and former Vice-Presidential nominee. As a result, Joe was forced to run as an Independent in the general election and defend his Pro-war ideals. 'Honk For Peace' is a documentary of those who fought to end a war. Featuring contributing interviews with Ned Lamont, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, The Dixie Chicks, Sen. John Kerry, Ed Koch, Mark Davis (WTNH Political Correspondent), Leslie Cagan (United For Peace and Justice), Ralph Nader, Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.) and Sen. Chris Dodd.
