I hear he's gonna run for pres. Nice guy, but, well, what's he thinkin'?

Anybody here think ol' Chris has a chance?

Back in 2003, Lieberman was one of the leaders in polls among Democrats and nobody had heard of Howard Dean and John Edwards, but Lieberman barely registered when primary season rolled around and Dean / Edwards made a splash.

He was a big party boy when he was single, and they're talking up something they call a "waitress sandwich."

I had a feeling he was going to announce when I received a Thanksgiving card from him with a photo of his family.

3. True, his annoucement that he was running surprised few here in CT
And, I think there is a picture of him & Teddy Kennedy back in their younger days with a young girl between the two of them.

4. I guess what I can't figure out what his specific appeal would be
Basically, he's HRC on the issues, and a male HRC ain't gonna beat the original HRC. He doesn't have that much of a national presence, and at this point it's hard to see what the case for a Dodd candidacy is.

I'd back him if nominated, but it does disturb me that he has said at various points that we need to go to the early JFK approach on foreign policy(that is, running TO THE RIGHT of the GOP).
We know what that led to the first time...why go there again?
