A rant about Peter Boyles

I guess this is a good place for a rant about him.

I'm a native New Yorker who moved here in 1976. So I've been listening to him on the radio off and on since he was teamed with his mentor, Bob Lee, on KLAK-AM. I guess Pete was pretty liberal back in the 70s/80s and then he started going conservative in recent years.

I thought with all the poop hitting the fan about the administration lately, he was sounding more informed. But now he's got this notion that "when the president does well, the country does well". He's got it bass-ackwards. A president does well when the country does well. Clinton is an example. When the country was doing well, he weathered every storm and got reelected.

I just don't think you support a craven individual like the shrub on the notion that it will make things peachy for the nation. Especially since it's the administration that's causing most of the damage.

Well, thanks for "listening". It's a shame that Enid is about our only local liberal on radio. Btw, she was a guest on Laura Flanders weekend before last. Some mornings, I can hardly wait to boot up the computer and listen to AAR.

1. I love listening to Enid.

I heard her a few Sunday night's ago on AAR, I even called in and got on the air. I do disagree with her Kerry bashing yesterday. I'm not 100% happy with the guy, but he's ours, and we have to get behind him. I emailed her and told her enough with the defeatist rhetoric. She was also complaining that Kerry isn't getting his message out there (she didn't see Sunday's MTP), so I emailed her and said "Instead of talking about Kerry NOT getting his message out there, why don't you start talking about his message yourself!!"

2. I used to listen to Peter, too

back in the day. Now he's just another right wing talk show host.

About Enid: I had quite a heated exchange with the program director at KNRC after Greg Dobbs stepped down and they replaced him with some conservative. Of course the program director is that asshat Doug Kellett who replaced Enid in her old drive time slot.

I had great hopes for KNRC as the only liberal voice in Denver drive time but that's in the toilet.
