Under Beauprez, the rich schools get richer.
From Denver Post article today: "Beauprez did propose a new way to channel extra funding into schools. "What if we were to provide a tax incentive that gave you two for one?" Beauprez said. "For every $2 that you contributed to education, we'll give you a $1 tax credit."

So the wealthy who have money to contribute and who need the tax write-offs, can contribute to their own schools - the ones who have already maxed out their override mill levies and their capital construction mill levies - while those in poorer neighborhoods still have to get by. And Beauprez gets to crow about how much he's raised for "public education." Pah.
