What do we do about Salazar's betrayal now?
Other than withholding money from him - already doing that - is there any way for Colorado Dems to voice their disapproval with his Almost-Republicant stances?

1. Give him an opponent.
Run someone in the primary.

4. Damn straight! Every ONE of those that voted FOR Cloture, or
who vote FOR Alito, should face a Progressive Democrat in their next primary.

Meanwhile, cut off their funds.

13. Two words. Mike Miles.
Nuff said.

Mike didn't even get a fair look by the Colorado Democratic Party people. They just shoved him aside and put Salazar there.

Mike is 100,000 times better than Salazar.

3. Replace him

We did it in Illinois after Sen Dixon voted for Clarence Thomas.

Cheers!

5. Salazar
The Dems in Colorado are already pushing for his replacement. There have been two Republicans bow out of Politics here because of the influence of the James Dobson crowd in Colorado Springs, looks like Salazar is still trying to drink from the Dobson trough. Believe me, there is mounting opposition to Salazar, the unfortunate part is how pervasive the Koolaide has become throughout this country and with judges like Alito, people are going to be afraid to shift the waters. If Beauprex becomes Governor in this state, the Dems don't stand a chance. We have to get a handle on the voting machines.

I think we need to be very worried about 2006, right now we don't even have a national party pulling together for the people. We've been sold out in this country and it will take something powerful to reclaim our country.

10. Will now vote for ANYONE who runs against Salazar. Already planned not to
vote for him because of his support of the usury-loving financial industry. Now will vote for his opponent even if it's Coors in hopes that things will get so bad that America will finally see the light and kick the whole failed political establishment out.

Lukewarm Democrats are like lukewarm water it gets spit out. You can drink cold water, make tea out of hot water, but lukewarm water is worthless. Just like Salazar.

11. wow
so you want more votes the right wingers. That's a great strategy. That was what Nader thought in 2000 and it gave us Bush. Most people can't afford the luxery of hoping things get worse. They are already as bad as they can take.

14. if you want Salazar to change you will work toward electing
more Democrats at both State and Fed levels. George Bush won this state by the same amount Salazar did. That's about a six percentage point swing - of people who voted for both Bush and Salazar. The Democrats of this state need to show him that he (or other DEms) can win here without having to cater to the crossover vote.

Instead of the constant din of DU's "disapproval" - and the usual threats of witholding support -maybe what we need to do is show results in elections - those are the things politicians pay attention to -
