1. Same here
And they've filed for a natural-gas rate increase.

2. Our neighborhhod has gone pretty dark
Xmas lights being turned off earlier and some security lights are off completely. It's eerie. We're keeping our security light on but I go around turning lights off inside. Cleaning up my bad habits.

3. YES!
I thought I was the only one who had a bad one. And we live in an apartment.
We have resorted to turning off the computers and emptying the chest freezer in the garage and unplugging it.
I hate Xcel.

5. I just got mine.
For the period 11/11-12/16.

Compared to last month:
Electricty increase = 60%
Gas increase = 152%
Total increase = 111%

December's gas rate actually declined from 1.013 to 0.873 per Therm. But December of 2004 was only 0.6654.

I'm sure glad that I put in double-pane windows a few years ago. That helped a lot. But my furnace is 29 years old.

6. I've been wonder how long the sheepeople here in...
Colorado are going to keep taking it in the backside before they unite and yell price gouge. The citizens have no problem being outspoken about the Broncos wether they play good or bad. Yet they are dead silenet when the rich and powerful plunder us. Being hosed by the "Man" cuts across both party lines. When is the Amerkin worker going the say enough is enough?????
