4. Yeah, I hadn't been checking the forums before I posted.
Sometimes they move so fast, good news gets lost in the shuffle. But, I'll take positive reports any time I can get them!

7. I think Colorado led the political change when
the GOP marched into national power in the 80's. As I understand it, many conservatives moved into Colorado at that time. I don't know if that was the reason though. Something about the way Colorado is seems to cause it to led the national consensus politically for some reason.

If you go back to the turn of the last century you can see the miners in Colorado leading the way into the populist movement and unionism. Again another example of how Colorado seems to led politically within the country.

I'm pretty sure that with what is about to come out about the religious right being bushwacked by the corporatist into having money moved through the fundamentalist organizations to support gambling will hurt the 'Focus of the Family' organization politically. Dobson is on thin ice, I believe. Maybe many people will wake-up to what the wacko's have been doing in their name.

It cannot help the GOP in Colorado with the disclosure of how this administration has messed over the intelligence and the military communities. There are many, currently Republican, people around Colorado Springs with a background in the military, intelligence also. If they wake-up to how Bu$h has screwed the military families of those in Iraq, the GOP can kiss Colorado goodbye. Their love affair with the GOP will be over.

I think we will see Colorado turn a nice shade of deep blue in 2006. And Bu$h has helped all this along by being just who he is.

This is why I like to keep touch with whats going on in Colorado, even though I live a thousand miles away, in another red area of the country, thats changing also as Billy Bob wakes-up.

I sort of like Michners book 'Centennial' when he talked about people seeing the mammoth and deciding to stop, in Colorado, rather than continuing on to the gold in California.
