Senator (Salazar): U.S. energy bill "a good start"

RIDGWAY, Colo. - U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar wants his constituents to see a half-full glass on U.S. energy policy.

“It’s not a perfect bill,” said Salazar. “And it’s not the bill I would have written were I king of the United States.”

But, said Salazar, it represents progress after a long period of “neglecting energy policy” in this country.

“The keys to the kingdom are held by one party today,” said Salazar. “You ask me if this bill has the vision and courage of Roosevelt, who brought us out of the Depression? The answer is no. We take what we have.”

2. "what we have" is a bill that gives huge credits to energy companies

to keep on depleting the same resources and not address the impending fossil fuel shortage. Which energy companies is Salazar beholding to in CO? Has this guy ever voted progressive for anything since he was elected?
