2. If she becomes the nominee, keep your fingers crossed.
She said that her kids go to school in that district and she lives not far from the border between districts. So, she may move across the border. I think she'd have a better chance there than in the 6th. I also think she'd do better than Dave Thomas because she doesn't have the baggage of Columbine being a liability to her.

3. There will be
a very strong candidate who actually lives there, I'm sure. Especially, since it seems Beapreau is running for governor. I know that Peggy Lamm is looking at the race.

4. Do you think Beauprez could actually win a gubinatorial race?
I would hope he would lose pretty bad. If we could field a strong candidate against him.

5. he's a formidable candidate
he's won in a District that is more Democratic than the state at large. I hope Hickenlooper gets in the race. He's our best shot at winning.

6. Look at why Beauprez won the 7th.
First 2002 is off the table because he barely eeked out a victory.

But in 2004, he went up against a weakened candidated with baggage, from Columbine, which was probably deserved. He knows how to sling mud, and the problem is the dems have not done it back. But what we need to do is just that. And get a candidate who does not have a lot of baggage like Thomas did.

7. 2002
isn't off the table. He did win and that's what counts. Thomas was a very weak candidate, no doubt. However, I wouldn't underestimate him.

9. why do you like Hickenlooper?

I don't see what he's done that would qualify him for the governship, other than run a good ad campaign.

10. He's the most popular candidate
all polling shows him to be the most formidable. I don't think he's running, though. Rutt Bridges or Andrew Romanoff.

8. Other potential candidates for the 7th C.D.
Other potential Democratic candidates for the 7th include former State Rep. Peggy Lamm, former State Treasurer candidate Jim Polsfut, and State Board of Education member Jared Polis. It will be interesting to see how this one shakes out.

will likely run for Udall's seat in 2008.

12. i think polis would be good
nice guy in person -- seems likable (and we all know that's far more important than a lot of the policy wonks want to admit).
