Rhea Perlman facing fine over donation to Schwarzenegger

Saturday, March 12, 2005

(03-12) 11:14 PST Los Angeles (AP) --

Actress Rhea Perlman is being fined for failing to disclose political donations during the 2003 gubernatorial recall campaign that put Arnold Schwarzenegger in office.

The state Fair Political Practices Commission said Friday it would fine the DeVito Family Trust $400 for failing to file a major donor report on its $10,000 contribution to Californians for Schwarzenegger in 2003.

Perlman, who is married to actor and director Danny DeVito, agreed to the fine Jan. 24 on behalf of the trust.

2. this is so odd
Is this because Davito worked with musclehead in Twins ? I thought they were good people,oh well sell outs for Arny are a dime a dozen in show biz. Who is next ? 10 thousand bucks, that is sickening....

3. $400?????!!!? WTF
Do you really think anyone who can afford to donate $10,000 is going to think twice about a $400 "fine/" It's like a freeking parking ticket!

This wil lsure stop all those who don't report contributions...and keep making them.

yup

7. The only cogent argument I heard from an Arnold supporter...
...during the recall was one guy who worked in the movies and said, "I'm voting for him because I think it will be good for show business." Show people giving him money doesn't bother me.
