When Prop 19 passes

What will be the fate of industrial hemp growth?
Will we finally get it done?

1. I'm not sure they're connected.
I've heard both "yes" and "no." However, since the California state Leg. has legalized hemp in the past (Der Gropenator vetoed it twice), if Brown gets in, I have no reason to believe he'll veto it, though Brown isn't NEARLY as liberal as everyone here believes he is. Anyway, I would LOVE a lift on the hemp ban. I macrame professionally and I got my hands on some hemp cording last spring. I swear for outdoor projects I won't use anything else. Soft yet will hold the knots. GREAT stuff!

2. I think Democrats are going to be
disappointed by Brown but he will be an improvement over steroid boy and far, far better than Queen meg. I wish I could be enthusiastic about Brown. This is what happens when CDP leadership stays toooooo long at the helm. There is no farm team, no young Dems stepping into positions to move up. Of course, the stifling term limits add to and exacerbate this problem.

4. Kinda don't understand that argument.
How does making pot legal suddenly create confusion when it comes to being high in the workplace and driving?

The only people I ever really hear this argument out of is the people who have a financial interest in seeing prop 19 fail (such as a prop 215 physician).

If I want to acquire pot legally today, I drive down the street, get a perscription and buy it... but I still don't have the right to show up to work high or drive high. How, exactly, would Prop 19 confuse that issue?

7. Small Hydro Store Owner told me...
I was at a small Hydroponics Garden Shop the other Day..
I spoke to the Owner about his feelings about the Prop 19 coming up for vote in November..
He said he was not for the legalization simply because it would directly effect his business..
He told me that if passed the Walmarts and Target Stores would start offering the same supplies and equipment as he does for a lot less and that would put him right out of business. He said he would just have to move to another state that has newly adopted Medical Cannabis and used by patients..
Next was the girl at the cash register.. I asked her what her thoughts were on this issue too.
She was not in favor because she was afraid of Kids getting high.. She said it concerned her because she had a small child..
I asked her which facts did she base her feelings on. She could not answer my question.
I told her to do some research online about the history of Cannabis in America. I also told her look up pending patents on Cannabis. She was amazed when I explained to her that no one in the United States has done any research with Cannabis since before 1972. Most of what she believes is pure spin and had been going around unchallenged for more than 35 or so years.. Fact...
I also said to her to go after truth and teach her child about the truth and be a good parent and explain facts to her child. It is much better to teach children. on facts than to keep up the Spin and Lies that have been around since before Nixon....
Fear is the only tactic left by those who oppose Cannabis legalization..
I did tell this nice mom that I to am not in favor of anyone under the age of 18yrs old getting intoxicated on anything because Kids are still learning and developing Judgment skills... They don't need to be high to do stupid things..
Be truthful to your Children... Help them understand issues... They will grow and be responsible Intelligent Americans..
The truth will set us all free.

8. That's free enterprise!
Back in the 80's, the big record franchises that sold records didn't have a effect on independent record stores. What I am saying is...
People who really appreciate weed will not go for commercialized pot that was manufactured by the big tobacco companies. Prop 19 will save California. If a few profiteers, medical pot dealers or dope dealers suffer, so be it!

9. If prop 19 passes, a few rich dealer will get richer while...
the brothers on the streets selling joints will still go to jail and cops will have more money for the drug war because the bill specifically gives money for that kind of enforcement. The bill will make it likely that people will have to grow inside( CAUSING MORE POLLUTION FROM ENERGY USE). just say "know" it ain't legalization, it is cronyism.
