Now I know what "Gov. Moonbeam" means
Edited on Thu Jun-10-10 12:28 PM by dana_b
I have been wondering what the hell people were talking about when they called Jerry Brown "Moonbeam". He explains it in his Tuesday night speech. I also love the last bit he says about not making certain groups the scapegoats in his campaign (undocumented workers, nurses, unions, etc.).

1. It means the same thing as "Angry Howard Dean" or "Nutty Dennis Kucinich"
It means they're true progressives who scare the FUCK out of the establishment.

2. lol - great clarification!
It is a definite pattern though. Make someone who has the guts, brains and personal strength to challenge the status quo appear to be a nut case. Unfortunately it also works.

4. I thought it had something to do with Doonesbury
Or maybe it was the other way around. I just remember Doonesbury poking fun at him back in the day.

Ah, the good ole days.
