Just moved back to San Francisco
after being away for 17 years. Kinda surreal.

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend progressive groups to join here and sources of information to find out what's going on locally and statewide. The Chronicle's not really doing it for me.

1. I haven't got any links at the moment
but welcome back. Things are different. But the Bay Area is still a great place to live. I'm in the East Bay, very union by all the bumper stickers. Oakland voted to tax marijuana sales, the bill was supported by dispensaries. Many good things going on. But we have to overturn Prop 8. MARRIAGE EQUALITY 2010!

I'm in the east bay

You might want to start with KPFA radio 94.1 fm
They usually advertise local organizations .
They also Carry Democracy Now

3. Another East Bay resident here..
Pick up the SF Bay Guardian and SF Weekly. Sometimes there are good articles there with links to progressive organizations.

hope to see you there that first Friday of October ..

It's real fun even if you don't drink , my MIL goes every
year with us and has a good time eating the German foon
and watching people dance etc...
