Best local non-partisan races in Orange County to support

The most progressive Democratic Club (the Patrick Henry Democratic Club) in the county endorsed three candidates in the Huntington Beach race: Steve Ray, Joey Racano and Debbie Cook. The club did not do a lot of endorsements. So these are three really important candidates. The clubs website is at http://patrickhenrythinktank.org/

Another must-back candidate is Nancy Howell, who is running for the Mission Viejo City Council. She will be the first Democrat on that council- about time. She's also a solid liberal. Her website is located at http://nancyhowell.org/

Spread the word about these candidates. Orange County is one of those areas that the Democrats want to take over. In non-partisan races, most of the voters are just guessing. That's why most of the Irvine City Council is Democrat although the city is Republican. The more Democrats who get name recognition, the more that will have an easier time when they run for higher office. Also, remember that the key is not just electing Democrats. Zell Miller is a Democrat. The key is to elect progressives like those mentioned above.
