Question for anyone familiar with San Diego

Especially the area around 32nd street naval base. i was stationed their in the mid-80s and there was a bar right off the base that had the hottest chile you can imagine. I thought the place was called Franks but my memory is a little rusty. planning a visit soon and was just wondering if the place is still there and the name of the place. This place was sort of a dive but was within walking distance of the base. Appreciate any help you can give me.

from 1985-1990, again from 1993-1998, and finally 2001-2004...

and I don't recognize the name. Was it near the Trophy Lounge? Or more towards the bingo parlor?

I did a little checking and i think the place is now called Magadan Ana and it has a Club 13 on the front of the building. What ship were you on? I was on the USS Merrill DD976 from 1984-1987. I'll just check this place out when i visit. thanks again

Yes, I remember the place now... further south than I used to hang out, and it looked to be a rough neighborhood, so I never went there.
