Head Of SF Hell's Angels Shot Dead In The Street

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5 / AP) ― A man found murdered Tuesday night was president of the San Francisco branch of the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club, police confirmed Wednesday to CBS 5.

Mark "Papa" Guardado, 45, was found about 10:30 p.m. with gunshot wounds at 24th Street and Treat Avenue, about a mile from the group's clubhouse. He died a short time later at San Francisco General Hospital.

Police think Guardado may have been in fight with a rival in another motorcycle group before he was killed. Witnesses told investigators that he and the gunman struggled before the shooting and that the suspect fled on a motorcycle.

At the time of his death, Guardado was the subject of an ongoing investigation into an assault with a deadly weapon incident, said Sgt. Jim Stephenson of the Petaluma Police Department.

3. Vital organs
I didn't realize that the 24th St. and the Treat Ave. were such vital areas. I have heard of people dying from a gunshot that hit the femoral artery, but from the article, it sounds like the 24th street and the Treat avenue are peripheral circulation.
