Hey Californians, I'm your neighbor in Phoenix, where it's a good 20 degrees cooler than in SF, I hear. Wow. And congrats on the same-sex marriage ruling! Woo hoo!

I'm popping in here because my family and I are going to be vacationing in San Diego soon, and if anybody has a favorite restaurant to tell me about, I'd love it! We like all types of food, love hole-in-the-wall, non-chain, mom and pop places. Any great breakfast places? Mexican or seafood suggestions for lunch or dinner? Best taco stands, hamburger joints, anything?

Also, while there, I'm going to be doing a book signing for my young adult paranormal book, WAKE. It's a NYT bestseller and many of you already know about it and have purchased it -- I got some very nice kudos in the lounge a couple months ago, and I met a few San Francisco DUers when I was there on tour in March. :) Many thanks for your support!

7. I love the Roxy!!

There is also Siamese Basil next door to the Roxy that has awesome Thai and then across the street is Honey's Bakery, which has the most amazing breakfasts ever! Definitely go there for some coffee and a ABC Omelette!! Also, drop down to Cardiff one morning for donuts from VG's or around the corner is another great breakfast/lunch place called Pipes.

Oh! And one more... Kai's in Cardiff right on PCH overlooking the ocean. Great place for a nice, healthy sunset dinner :)

Can you tell I'm from here and starving!?!?! :)

So I can make no recommendations for.

But I will recomend against visiting Legoland.
