Close Guantanamo and Restore the Bill of Rghts

This event is sponsored by Peace Fresno. Co-sponsors include ACLU-NC, NNIA and WILPF.

Details: We will gather in front of the new federal building at 11:15 am.
Some of us will wear orange jumpsuits and hoods to symbolize the prisoners at Guantanamo.

There will be periods of silence along with call and response. The purpose is to join with others across the nation to call for the immediate closing of Guantanamo Bay and the restoration of the Bill of Rights and our civil liberties.

We have some signs made. If you want to bring a sign, it would be best to keep the focus of this action on closing Guantanamo and restoring the Bill of Rights.




A reminder of a couple of other actions:

FEBRUARY 18: Peace Fresno is organizing the President's Day Peace March. We will gather at the corners of Olive and Wishon (in the Tower District) and march to the new federal building. We want a large crowd to call for the end of the occupation of Iraq, staying out of Iran and the demilitarization of our society.

MARCH 15: Rally in the Valley. Save this date. Details will be forthcoming.
