Poll: Fifty-five percent of Californians dislike job Bush is doing

Fifty-five percent of California voters dislike the job George Bush is doing as president. And 61 percent disapprove of his handling of the war in Iraq. That's according to a poll released today.

The Field Research Corporation says its findings documented a continuing slide in Bush's ratings since his popularity soared following the September 11th attacks on New York and Washington.

Seventy-four percent of Californians questioned immediately after the attacks said they supported the president and only 16 percent disapproved of his actions.
