Gilchrist should run against Arnold next November

Now that he's gotten statewide and even national exposure, Jim Gilchrist should run against Arnold in next year's election, staying on the American Independent Party ticket. With Arnold going left, there's a wide patch of voters abandoned on the right. Gilchrist could get them.

Political experts say successful candidates pick two essential issues, then hammer away at those. Obviously, one issue for Gilchrist is immigration. So he needs a second. How about repealing, entirely, the state income tax?
