So, what were the props Arnie needed/wanted to pass?
Oy--they are showing him on NBC live in Beverly Hills. That stone grin of his is really scary... Someone give Maria a sandwich, yikes...

:scared:

Anyway, which ones was he counting on passing? 74 and 77 I'm guessing were pretty important to him.

Loved the ad where the judges were cutting up CA to paste it back together as TX...

4. So if everything stays as is now
with the props (no others flipping) does this mean he's history?

8. Not sure
I think Arnie's official webpage is http://www.joinarnold.com/

Someone was just on with Bernie Ward on http://www.kgoam810.com/
he said Arnie will replace the people who gave him bad advice,
and start talking like a Democrat - building roads etc.
I didn't listen too closely so I don't know if he'll govern
like a Democrat or just work with the Democrats.
He said this change will happen rapidly over the next few weeks.

11. Hmmm, well he can try that--
but I don't think he will fool anyone. The damage is done now.

13. He'll neither govern
nor work with Democrats. He's a actor, a bad one at that. He'll try to reinvent himself.

6. Good grief....I hope not
75...union busting...firefighters, nurses, teachers...all came out against this one. It makes no sense that it's passing...still early but I'm nervous about it.

9. I said this on another thread.
Union issues should be solved within the union. It's like my uterus shouldn't be up for a vote either, but evidently both are. These issues should never even make an initiative yet be put up for a vote among people who haven't any need to be involved. When this happens it means our rulers are trying to get dominance in places they don't belong in a real democracy.

14. All measures failed
Last week in the LAT, Arnold said that this was not over regardless of the outcome. He stated that he had a lot more props to put on future ballots but only put a few on this particular one. As I think a lot of people here know, this one was the one he needed. He needed a low voter turn out to pass his agenda. He needed history to repeat itself last night. On low turn out elections, the republicans tend to hold an advantage, as it was explained to me by the Alliance people. Republicans vote party line 80% of the time, verses Dems who are at 75%. Republicans tend to show up in elections like this one and vote party line, this leads to a 600,000 vote advantage in CA for them.

Arnold was betting our base would not be mobilized, he was betting that he could redistrict in time for the '06 elections. He was betting that he would write the budget all by himself this spring and not have to talk with the state senators or assembly people. This was a referendum on the republican party and their agenda.
